• Nephrogenic Diabetes Insipidus: The patients are affected with this majorly because of the inability of the kidneys responding to secretion of normal amounts of vasopressin.
• Dipsogenic Diabetes Insipidus: This condition occurs due to the suppression of the excessive intake of fluids.

v  The vasopressin is the posterior pituitary hormone which acts as antidiueretic hormone and vasoconstrictive nature. The major causes for this type of disorder are infiltrative lesions, malformations, tumors, and some neurosurgical procedures.

v  Diagnosis of this disease is done by performing water deprivation test and calculating the ADH levels. Treatment can be done with Desmopressin; the treatment is done with hormone replacement therapy.
